Let's talk about some amazing spots to check out in Pune first up is the Aga Khan Palace this incredible palace was built in the late 1800s and is constructed from yellow stone that just pops in the sunlight go here early in the morning to catch the sunrise over the gardens and building itself it served as a prison for a period during the Indian independence movement so you can walk through parts of the palace and see where major figures like Gandhi and his wife were once detained

Next up we have Shaniwar Wada this was the fortified residence of the Peshwas who ruled the region back in the 17th and 18th centuries the fort itself is fascinating with its huge outer walls and gates the palace inside was once quite grand but was unfortunately burned down there are still some cool remnants and architectural features to check out though like carved wooden pillars and balconies

For a bit of nature head to Lal Deval Trail it's a hiking path leading up to a historic Shiva temple the trailhead starts right in the city so it's easy to access the trail winds through forest area with little streams and lots of plant life the views from the temple at the top overlook all of Pune it's a nice little escape from the hustle and bustle down below

What I'm going to describe now is the Rajiv Gandhi IT Park this entire area is lined with modern glass office towers that house massive tech companies it's pretty wild to see all these giant campuses sprawled across such a concentrated area you can do some exploring around the parks and plazas that weave between the towers there are also tons of restaurants and cafes all around to get food

Hinjewadi IT Park is another major tech hub in Pune, home to the campuses of companies like Microsoft, IBM, Cognizant and many more. You can walk around the area and take in the modern office parks.

Okay last one is Shree Chaturshringi Temple this bright orange temple towers over the city the current structure dates back to the late 1700s there are intricate carvings and statues throughout inside and out it's an active place of worship so be mindful if touring the grounds the surrounding neighborhood has a lively market area where you can do some serious people watching and snack sampling.
